Antarctica ! We read a educational text this weak .According to text scientists, tourists,environmentalists, oil and mineral seekers want to go Antarctica because it is unexplored and interesting place. Oil and mineral seeker want to go because About 98% of Antarctica is covered by ice since 1 million year. They think that there are a lot of oil under the ice . If we find this oil ,we can solve oil problem in the world. The temperature in Antarctica has about −89 °C .Therefore, conditions are suitable for some experiments. Many scientists are doing experiments. In addition Antarctica is vital to life on Earth because it reflects light from sun and preventing the planet from onerheating . If we goes on to pollute air , global warming became all over the world and ice in the Antarctica will melt in short time .If it melt , warming will continue to exponentially. Environmentalists try to prevent pollution of the Antarctic and also the world.In brief Antarctica is unique continent and also important for us.
YanıtlaSilThis week we read ''Antarctica: Whose continent is it anyway?'' and we learned a lot of things about Antarctica.First of all many people want to visit Antarctica.The coldest place on Earth is also the subject of conflicting interests: scientists, tourists, enviromentalists, oil and mineral seekers.According to the text Antarctica is so far away, as strange as Saturn ,and as inhospitable as Mars.I agree with this idea.In addition, scientists believe that 70 percent of the world's fresh water is locked away in Antarctica's icecap.Global warming damages the environment in Antarctica. Therefore, we must protect Antarctica.

The Madric Protocol.It was accepted in 1991 by 39 participating of nations.They aimed to protect Antartica,animals etc. with this protocol.The text mentioned some features of Antartica.These features are;it is covered ice by %28,winds blow at more than 200 mph,there are no villages,towns,or plants,there are alot of penguin. According to passage,Antartica is Vital to life on Earth. The continents vast ice fields reflect.It is important for food chain. Antartica is home for some special bird and mammal.

YanıtlaSilFirst of all ,I learned something about "Antarctica.".ı think this text is very beneficial for us because this text is an informational text,so it is important for me.Also,I knew a little information about Antartica,but when we read this text,I learned so much information.According to text,most scientists agree that Antarctica should be used for research.There are conflicting interests because scientists, tourists, environmentalists, and oiland mineral seekers have different, conflicting plans for Antarctica.Most tourists feel that Antarctica should be dedicated to scientific research and to tourism.It is a treaty signed by 31 nations. The nations agree to ban oil and gas exploration in Antarctica for the next 50 years.The Madrid Protocol prohibits countries from exploring Antarctica for natural resources.Most of Antarctica is covered by ice.It is almost completely covered with ice, it is extremely cold and windy, has no villages or even plants, and contains 70% of the world’s fresh water.Antarctica keeps Earth from overheating, produces weather patterns,it is an important link in the food chain, and it is home to unique animals.Its purpose is to protect Antarctica from exploitation and from claims of ownership,while keeping it open for peaceful and scientific purposes.Antarctica is a useful continent.Although no one lives on Antarctica and no nation claims ownership of it, many groups of people have conflicting interests in studying and exploiting it. Treaties have been signed by many nations to protect Antarctica is a cold, icy, and remote continent.Also,Antartica is in the South Hemisphere.As we have seen,Antartica is important like other places for world,so we protect our world.
YanıtlaSilwe read a text about antarctica this week.Fist of all we told about antarctica's scientific and ecological importance.Author said Antarctica shouldbe dedicated research only.I totally agree with him because antarctica is so important for our world and climate. Secaondly we told about Madrid Protocal.This protocol is assigned by some countries to protect Antarctica from commercial activities.I support this protocol because if the antarctica is used for commercial activities , we can lose our nature.Finally i really want to go Antarctica for vacation.I believe that if the people go there for only vacation, it can be charming for us.
YanıtlaSilAntartica is the fifth largest of the seven continents. It is situated over the South Pole. Antartica is the coldest and also the windiest continent. The lowest temprature ever recorded in there. There are three climatic regions in Antartica. Antartica consists of two main areas. East Antartica and small West Antartica. More than 99 percent of Antartica is covered with ice. It is equal to 70 percent of world's fresh water. Icebergs are formed at the coasts as the edges of the ice shelves and glaciers calve off into the sea. There are at keast two active volcanoes in Antartica. There may be some areas of volcanism under the ice shert. In addition, volcanic activity melting the ice. Antartica has no trees or bushes at all, vegetation is limited to about 350 species of mostly lichens mosses and algea. In addition, six species of seals and 12 species of the birds live and breed in the Antartica. The most famous inhabitant of Antartica has to be the penguin. They are flightless bird, but excellent swimmer. Penguins live on pack ice and in the oceans around Antartica. I learnt so much information in the text and I always watch documentary about Antartica. I wish I would go there and view the penguin.

SilI think the sentences which I used are basic. I made an extensive research about Antartica. I used statistic for that reason I searched on the internet. It is not quotation.
SilWe have read a passage about Antartica.Before reading, I thought what I knew about Antartica.I thought that it's weather is really cold and penguins live there.In these days it is one of the cleanest places .However; it will disappear because of the global warming.Antartica is remarkable.It leads to high degrees of heat because of the sun lights that pass through to glacier.I consider that under the glacier there is enough petroleum for the whole world.According to me, there were people who lived there ages ago.Glaciers begin to melt, after this we will see leftovers.I don't know if there is cruising to Antartica.If there is, I want to go to.The writer reminded us global warming which is the end of the world.According to me, the text was amusinh
YanıtlaSilWe read interesting passage about Antarctica in last week.it is very interesting for me because it is the coldest continent in the world.People can not go in the Antarctica because of the fact that it is too cold for people and people can not live in Antarctica.Imagine,people can not go in the Antarctica and they are very curious about the Antarctica People want to go to the Antarctica.Rate of appromixetely 98 percent of Antarctica is covered with ice.It has a lot of mineral and oil resources under the ice.
