Last week we read a text about namesaking and we enjoyed a holiday due to heavy snow. Now it is time to write our reading journal assignments about the namesaking.

We read a text about namesake last week.I think name is not very important for our life. But according to some people, it is important.Firstly, They give their children the names of the grandparents or their name. In my opinion it is confusing.Secondly,Perhaps it is an honorable emotion. Person who has name, perpetuate that name. Names can reflect the identity. Maybe, who carrying the name can be proud. It is glamorous emotion. As for me, Meaning of name is more important than namesake. My name meaning is hard working bee. I like my name meaning.
Some people want to name their children own name. İn this way own name is lived with their son or girl. Some children feel good but others do not . This custom very common other countries – u.s.a , England – but it is not common in Turkey . I think this situations is a little bit weird because we already carry surname Why do we use father or mother’s names. I think so and also there are very disadvatage side this situation .First one is confusing for instance if I have same name my father , each letter and bill is embroiled and my father can read my letter and he can see my bill. İt can be annoying. The secon reason is if we name own name our child to be same continally in the World .To sum up , it is unnecessary due to disadventages
This week we read about namesake.In my opinion namesake is not important for our life. It makes just confuse.If my name is my grandmother's name I think I can not happy that. Same grandparents or grandmothers name is old.Who want old name?. I think nobody.If I have a baby I will chose different name because everybody is different and we should chose different name.Same people like to do that because they are old and they want to life our name.Sometimes grangfather's names can be daugther's name. It is not appropriate for their life.School or business life.If we choose name for a babay I think we should think a lot of situations.
In the past, there were no varios names. Generally they gave their childrens name such as ahmet,mehmet,ali and cihat which these were the names of their elders. Elders want to see their own names on their grandkid. Nowadays names has become more various. Such as my name is Yusufcan and my grandfathers name ıs Yusuf. When I was born he was alive. Therefore they added "can" to the end of my name. I had a chance to met him and I was proud of it. If your name reminds an elder you are more loved in the family. More loved than other grandkids with a common name. The truth is the meaning of the name reflects to it's owner.
We analyzed a text called " Junior Statua Sharing Dad's Name a Mixed Bag". What do you think of the title? According to me, it's fantastic. We read a text about the names last week. Most of the names remain traditionally. Some of them are given to the children for the sake of memories. There were various topics in the text. There are people who belive that the people who have the same names share the same characters. There are also people who do not love their fathers because of the name. Some of the people have complicated situation in their social life because of their names. What would the human being do, if they had the chance to choose? I think we would not give a decision easily. :)
First of all,I learned something about namesaking.In my opinion,namesaking is very unnecessary and it is silly because according to text,when some people have a child,they give their own name for child such as father name is José Martinez,his son child name is Jr. José Martinez.That is very complex and silly.I think namesaking is bad idea for a child to have the same name as his father because when their parents tell their names,they look them together.Also,I think name is important for people’s self-confidence.Secondly,if I was named after my dad or my mom as one of the those chatacters in the text,I would have a mixed feel because I can think they don’t trust me,but my dad or mom can think different.Maybe,they can very happy because I continued their name.As a result,people don’t give their own names for namesaking.

First of all, my grandfather's name is Sümer and my name is Sümer. My father is my namesake. I haven't thought my name’s advantages or disadvantages until now. Secondly, I feel honor myself because I bear the name of my grandfather name. Thirdly, while I was reading Junior Status: Sharing Dad’s Name a Mixed Bag, I hated name generation because Jr Carleton Warren Kendrick’s father is Carleton Warren Kendrick. I think beginning of the name Jr is embarrassed. If my name is Jr Sümer, I cut the suffix from my name such as Carleton Warren Kendrick.
We read a text that was wroten about sharing name.First of all, I have my garnfather's name like Sümer.Therefore it was interesting for me.I agree with it when ı read some chapters.I think having grandfather's name a honourary thing.Everybody knows ı come from my grandfather.Of course ıf ı haven't this name , ı can live like now.However I am happy for ı have this name.
We read a text about nameshakeing.there was people who use their garandparent's names.I think this situation is unnecessary.Maybe grand parents can be happy but the important thing is to be happy with his name.if he isn't happy with their names , this situation can cause different feelings on this person and he doesn't get used to his name , he can be un happy entire his life.In cocnlusion when parents chose their children name , you don't think only their or their grandparent's happines, they must think their chirlden's happiness all through their life.
