İn my opinion this trip is very good because the family learned their country.I think it’s wonderful .They visited some historical placeses and they learned their history.I think they won’t be successful in future who didn’t learn their history.They learned a lot of different things abouth their culture for example different foods,people,etc..Thats a very important for improve by yourself.In the other hand children don’t left their school.School is important to their improve.
YanıtlaSilAnother thing I didin’t have knowledge to Texas until read this passage.For example I learned a lot of things abouth Texans and their culture.I didn’t know their problem.They have a problem abouth their independent. I think that is a big problem and this is should be solved as soon as possible problem
My opinion of this reading text is both good and bad. First of all, this trip is very well because they visited many interesting places and met with new people. They learned different cultures and customs. They learned a lot of interesting information about where they traveled places. On the other hand, their children didn’t go to school.I think, it is not true at all because education is very important for everybody. Therefore, They should have traveled when their children’s education finished. Other text was about Texas. I learned many things about Texas thanks to this text. For example, Texas’s capital city is Austin and this city is very modern and technological and there are a lot of historical and neat places in Texas. Especially, I learned the Battle of the Alamo. It was a independence war. Finally, I enjoy to read these texts.
YanıtlaSilI think, both of them good texts. But the first content is not for me. Because I don’t leave my work, I don’t sell my house. Maybe when I retired to my work, I can make a trip like the Graham family. Of course this trip has good thing such as they met a lot of helpful and friendly people.They visited many good cities. Also I learned some new information. For example; There are 50 states in America. And I learned to American Independence Day; July 4. Finally this trip is good but not for my life style.
YanıtlaSilThe second text is very good. I love this text. Because Courtney’s trip is useful. There is some information in this journal such as I learned, Austin is a capital city in Texas. Then I learned there are a lot of generous people in San Antonio. And there are some historic stories in this city for example Davy Crockett is a important person for Texas. I love historical stories lile Davy’s. But if I was this text’s author, I wrote more than colorful. To summarise this text is wonderful. It has a lot of necessary information.

I think, “A Family Sees America Together” is a very amazing story. While I was reading to this story, I was happy and I enjoyed because this story is a very fantastic and interesting story. In this text, there are four family members. Craig and Marlene are Courtney and Collier’s parents. Courtney could not go to school, but this travel is pretty important for her because she had a very big experience due to this travel. She has cut one’s teeth in this trip. In my opinion about this travel, it is worth the whole a year so if I were her, I would go to this travel, too.
YanıtlaSilSecond text is “Courtney’s Texas-Big History, Big Cities, Big Hearts”. I think, this text is wonderful like “A Family Sees America Together”. Courtney wrote this journal that is about Texas. In my opinion, this journal is successful, too. But, if I were her, I would give further information about Texas’ physical property. In sum up, This travel really entertained me while I was reading and I want to travel like Graham’s trip.

YanıtlaSilI agree with my friends, these texts are both great and helpful because there are a lot of important information for us.For example, its strange for you and maybe you're laughing me but I really didn't know ''Texas is a state'', I had known Texas as a city in the U.S then I learned it's not.In addition, there are a lot of geographic and historic information. Such as, El Paso, Austin, S.Antonio, Houston are in Texas.Texas is bordering with Mexico.I learned personality of Texas’ people, I learned who is Davy Crockett, how Texas gained its Independence from Mexico, etc..
YanıtlaSilBy the way, my friends said ‘’ Craig and Marlene sold their businesses, this is very risky, dangerous or Courtney’s education is most important than their trip.’’ I disagree with my friends about that issue. Courtney is only 12 and she didn't lose anything.Instead, she had a lot of amazing experience after their trip.As a matter of fact, many newspapers, television shows observed what they did and schoolchildren from all over the U.S followed the Graham family's trip because they did very important and unusual thing so they prefer own way for their dream.

In my opinion,first text is good,but it has some problems.Graham Family visit 50 states but we don't know about this states.Author focused on of the Graham Family.Author could give some information about states and cities in the U.S.
YanıtlaSilOn the other hand,author is right because Graham family is important this text because they are really crazy!!I love travelling to different places but this kind of travel is weird!If ı had a child,I didn't let him/her for this type of travel because education is more important than travel.
As a result,text didn't hep me about states in America,I wanted to learn interesting customs,foods,people etc. about the U.S.
I like second text because I learned something about Texas.The title of the reading passage is a perfect match because title is giving us some clues about the text but not all.For this reason,this tile is attractive,I love it!The author's words made a picture in my mind about Texas.When I read this text,I dreamed and I lived tihs dream.For tihs reason,text is realistic.
Firstly,I thought that this family was crazy because they gave up everything just for a trip. Mr.and Mrs. Graham didn't go to work and earn money. Their children didn't go to school during the trip. In my opinion,this trip causes a lot of bad things. However,all family members were together and travel all 50 states . This is a good memory for them. The next text is about Texas,Austin,San Antonio. They went to San Antonio. It is a historical place.There are more information in this text. For example,Battle of the Aloma. Finally,I enjoyed reading these texts but I don't understand this family and aim of this trip.

YanıtlaSilİn my opinion, first text is bad.İt is not my steal. The Graham family visit some cities ,but the author don't write information in some cities. Travel is not important. Education is important. I disagree with some of the ideas of the author. I do not love this text, On the other hand this text improve of the my american custom and culture. İf ı were author, ı write more descriptive in this text. Second text is good and amazing because ı enjoyed reading.I didn't know about the texas before reading the text, but now ı have a new idea in Texas. This text improve of the my Texas culture and custom . I hope next text similar the this text because this text very enjoyable and instructive.
YanıtlaSilIn my opinion first text is a very interesting story. The Graham family had a wonderful trip. They had many experiences. They visited many places. They met many friendly people. So The Graham’s trip is a wonderful. If I were instead of them maybe I can take a risk for this situation but I am not sure. The Graham’s trip is not ordinary event. It is risky and longer. Then Mr and Mrs Graham’s daughter Courtney did not go to school for a whole year. Her education delayed. I would not want this.

If I were Courtney, I told a lot of information about Texas. Finally while I was reading these texts, I enjoyed. After I read these texts, I started to think excited trips like Graham's trip and I want this, very much.
In my opinion, this trip is excellent but it is only dream in my country. Because, they lost one year and this is bad for Courtney’s education. İn Turkey, young people must get ready to sbs and oss exams. Their jobs depend exams. İf they don’t go to university, they never find a good job.

On the other hands, they traveled many states and they learn a lot of thing about their country. If I will be a retired person, maybe I travel in a van like the Graham Family.
In my opinion, both of text are unusual interesting . The trip is very enjoyable, long and visual, but it is for children, i think that their education is more important that traveling accross The America during in one year. When they came back, parents don't have their jobs. In my opinion this trip isn't good for them. Most people want to make a trip like that but i think nobody don't want to sell his home and leave his job. This is very absurd. Secand text, gives a lot of things about Teksas' history and Texans. I learned that Texas is amazing city.they trip can be a wonderful dream to realise for more people but I don't think it can be realisable.

In the first story which is "A Family Sees America Together", if you ask me, i am jealous of this trip and i realised this kind of a trip can be made. You asked us "If you were Courtney's Teacher, What will you do and say to Courtney and her parents?" If i were Courtney's teacher, i will say nothing because her parents to made a decision. YanıtlaSiltake a true decision. For all that, they got a lot of experience, met a lot of people, traveled everywhere in America. Even, At the end of the trip Graham's Family became famous. Of course they deserved it. In the second story which is "Courtney’s Texas-Big History, Big Cities, Big Hearts.”, In my opinion, Courtney explained Texas very well. But she would explain the Texas's History a little more. As Furkan says " Texas is a state but so far I knew Texas as a city in the U.S ", me too :D. I learnt the right thing when i read this story. Texas isn't desert :D and cowboys aren't fighting for honour. And so everbody has a Big Hearts in Texas.

I am commentating first text now. This reading text made me realize ı must study hard to ımprove my english because ı do not understand this text :) My opınıon of this readıng text ıs intresting but ı did not like this text because when everbody interpret this text but ı ıdle away all hour.All in all ı have to study very hard.My favorite part was third paragraph because Grahams family was famous afterwards.I would like to ask the author why did you write the text too short.My name is HIdır. That was the best thıng whıch ı can do.
